International Childrens Day

In June, we had the joy of organizing an unforgettable Children’s Day celebration in Ostoja Koninki for 450 Ukrainian children. Set against the stunning mountain backdrop, the event was filled with laughter, play, and moments of pure joy—giving these children a chance to simply be kids again.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of the Nidaros Foundation and our dedicated volunteers, we created a festive atmosphere with games, prizes, and fun for all. We handed out 600 cotton candies and 580 portions of ice cream, and brought in a giant inflatable castle, live entertainment, firefighter demonstrations, and plenty of snacks. For just a little while, the children were able to forget the trauma of war and feel safe, celebrated, and free.

This wasn’t a one-time effort. We are committed to making events like this a regular part of our support for refugee families. Every smile reminds us how important it is to create joy, normalcy, and hope for these children.
